REGISTER FOR THE 2017/2018 RINGETTE SEASON.
The ringette season typically runs from September to March, players are registered based on birth year and desired level of play. CORA offers a Bunnies - Learn to Skate program, Novice divisions (U8, U9, U10), and a mixture of Recreational and Competitive levels from U12-U19.
All Novice divisions and U12 Regional (players under 12) participate in SortOuts; the purpose of SortOuts at this level is to create balanced teams. Recreational players in the higher divisions (U14, U16, U19) are often sorted the same way but there cane cases where the recreational teams are tiered (i.e. B-level vs. C-level team). Competitive team tryouts for U14 Tween and U16 Junior players will occur in April for the 2017/2018 ringette season, please see Spring Tryouts for full details. The U19 competitive team tryouts will occur in June, while U12 competitive tryouts will occur in September, registered players will be notified of their appropriate Tryout times.
All players trying out for competitive (including out of association players) or participating in SortOuts must be registered prior to stepping on the ice. For information on SortOut/Tryout Plans & Drills, visit TryOuts.

FINANCE POLICIES & REFUNDS
The CORA refund policy serves two purposes, to allow a player who has registered with CORA to withdraw from ringette for the season, as well as, allow a beginning player to try Ringette for the first time.
Withdrawing from CORA for the season may occur for many different reasons. The executive reserves the right to review a withdrawal and waive any holdbacks at its discretion.
Player Fee - $251, this includes a $25 administration fee2
Player Fee - $125, this includes a $25 administration fee plus $100 ice holdback
1 Players released by CORA and who are selected for a team in another association are entitled to a full refund with no holdbacks.
2 The $25 administration fee will be charged regardless of the player actually participating in any ice sessions in September. Considerable effort is put in by the volunteers at registration, the Convenors and the Registrar to ensure that once the registration is received, the association is prepared to receive the player.
It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians of any player to ensure that full payment of registration fees is made to CORA on a timely basis. In the event that a cheque is returned by the bank because of non-sufficient funds, an immediate replacement cheque is expected.
Where such cheque is not forthcoming, the Treasurer will request the replacement cheque. If a replacement cheque is not remitted within 5 working days, the Treasurer will notify the Registrar and the President of the Association who will contact the player’s parent/guardian.
If a replacement cheque is not remitted within 5 working days of this contact, the player will not be permitted to step on the ice until such time as payment is made.
Refunds for players withdrawing for medical reasons will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
